Stripology XL or Stripology Squared ruler
Cutting mat optional(do not leave in a hot car or a hot environment)
GEasy Point Trimmers, you can piece without them, but they make lining up block pieces easy.
45 mm or 60 mm Rotary Cutter ( must be the type where you move the safety cover to expose the blade.)
Sewing Machine
Basic Sewing Supplies -neutral Thread, straight pins, small scissors, seam ripper, other favorite quilting notions
See the book for exact amounts depending on the quilt size for a lap quilt
Fabric 5-inch squares plus 2 1/2" strips from the same fabric = about 2 yards. 1 fat quarter will make 12 5-inch squares
Background fabric - 2 3/4 yards
It is a good idea to pretreat fabric with MaryEllen's Best Press or Spray starch. Spray the fabric and get it quite moist. Allow it to air dry, then Iron it. You can use steam.
